Nigeria is considering an “Operation Feed Yourself” initiative to encourage the establishment of urban farms and small home gardens in the country. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said the initiative, which was part of efforts to address malnutrition in Nigeria, would be under the auspices of the National Economic Council and the National Council on Nutrition.

INEC Declares Soludo Winner Of Anambra Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) the winner of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.
Mr Soludo polled a total of112,229 votes to defeat his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 53, 807 to emerge second.

Ouagadougou – One Burkina Faso soldier and around 15 jihadists died in fighting over the weekend, the army of the west African nation said on Monday. The soldier died on Saturday in eastern Komadjari province in a battle that saw about 15 "terrorists neutralised", it said.
